We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties except when required by law or to trusted third parties who assist us in operating our association, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.

As a member, you have the rights to:

Refund Policy

1. Membership Fees

MUTGA membership fees are generally non-refundable once paid. However, exceptions may be considered in the following cases:

  • Duplicate payment made in error
  • Application rejected by the Association’s Executive Committee
  • Technical error resulting in multiple charges

Refund requests must be submitted in writing within 14 days of payment.

2. Event and Training Fees

For events, workshops, and training programs:

  • Cancellation more than 7+ days before event: 80% refund
  • Cancellation within 3-6 days before event: 50% refund
  • Cancellation less than 3 days: No refund
  • Event cancellation by MUTGA: Full refund

3. Refund Process

To request a refund:

  1. Submit a written request to mutga2u@gmail.com
  2. Include payment details and reason for refund
  3. Allow 14-21 working days for processing

4. Non-Refundable Items

The following are strictly non-refundable:

  • Processing fees
  • Late payment penalties
  • Donations to the association
  • Digital products and resources

Terms & Conditions

1. Membership Terms

By becoming a MUTGA member, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Abide by the association's code of conduct
  • Pay membership fees promptly
  • Maintain professional standards as a tourist guide/tour leader
  • Update your information as required

2. Code of Conduct

Members must:

  • Conduct themselves professionally at all times
  • Respect clients, colleagues, and the association
  • Not engage in activities that bring disrepute to MUTGA
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Maintain valid licenses and certifications

3. Membership Termination

MUTGA reserves the right to terminate membership for:

  • Non-payment of fees for more than 90 days
  • Violation of code of conduct
  • Provision of false information
  • Activities harmful to the association's reputation
  • Criminal conviction related to professional duties

4. Intellectual Property

All content on MUTGA platforms, including logos, training materials, and publications, are the property of MUTGA and may not be reproduced without written permission.

5. Limitation of Liability

MUTGA provides information and services "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for:

  • Any direct or indirect damages arising from membership
  • Actions of individual members
  • Information provided by third parties
  • Events beyond our reasonable control

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall be resolved through mutual discussion or in the courts of Kuala Lumpur.

Fulfillment Policy

1. Membership Activation

Upon successful payment and document verification, your MUTGA membership will be activated within:

  • Standard Processing: 3-5 working days
  • Expedited Processing: 24-48 hours (if available)
  • Peak Seasons: May take up to 7 working days

You will receive an email confirmation with your membership details upon activation.

2. Digital Products & Resources

Access to digital resources will be provided immediately upon membership activation:

  • Member portal access credentials
  • Digital membership certificate (PDF)
  • Online training materials
  • Member-only resources and guides

If you do not receive access within 24 hours of activation, please contact our support team.

3. Physical Products & Merchandise

For physical items (badges, certificates, merchandise):

  • Processing Time: 5-7 working days
  • Shipping Method: Registered mail or courier
  • Delivery Time: 7-14 working days within Malaysia
  • International Shipping: 14-21 working days

Tracking information will be provided once your order is shipped.

4. Event & Training Registration

For events, workshops, and training programmes:

  • Confirmation email sent within 24 hours of registration
  • Event details and joining instructions sent 3 days before the event
  • Materials provided at venue or via download link
  • Cancellation must follow our refund policy guidelines

5. Membership Renewal Processing

Renewal requests are processed as follows:

  • Automatic reminders sent within 60 days before expiry
  • Renewal approval within 2 working days of payment
  • Updated membership status reflected immediately
  • New certificate issued upon request

6. Delays & Exceptions

Fulfillment may be delayed due to:

  • Incomplete documentation or verification
  • Public holidays or weekends
  • Technical issues with payment systems
  • Force majeure circumstances

You will be notified immediately of any delays to your fulfillment.
